  1. 1. Rub a snail on warts, hang it on a tree, and when the snail rots the warts will vanish.
    2. Rub a potato on warts and then bury it. If the potato rots, the warts will vanish, and if it grows they will have more warts.
    3. Get ten good potatoes, rub them on the warts. Boil them, eat nine of them and bury the other. Then the warts will vanish.
    4. If one has a sore throat and ties mustard to the sole of his foot it will cure it.
    5. The cure for the whooping cough is, stoop under a donkeys body three times and bless yourself each time.
    6. Tea without sugar is a cure for a headache.
    7. Buttermilk and soda is a cure for the heartburn.
    8. If a person has a backache he has to lie on his stomach and someone walk on his back.
    9. If one finds water in a rock without looking for it and washes his hands in it the warts will vanish.
