  1. Once upon time there was a woman who had a very good baby and it began to get very cross. There was a man used to call into the house when he was coming from the forge. He always stayed with the baby till the woman milked the cow he done this several times but every time was just the same the baby still kept on crying.
One night when he was coming from the forge he went in and threw his plough irons on the floor and shouted "lrogham hill's a fire." and the baby jumped out of the cradle and called "my wife and weans will be all burned" and ran off and was never heard of again. You see this baby was a fairy and the woman's own baby had been taken.
