  1. One time a country man was walking on the road when he met a little man who asked him if he would go up with him for a nurse as his wife was ill. The man agreed and went with him. They brought the nurse to the little man's house and found it full of fairies all sitting at marble tables eating and drinking when the nurse had attended the woman. She went away accompanied by the country man and the little man went with them for a short distance on leaving he told the country man not to mention what he had seen. Later on the country man met this little man and asked him how his wife was. The little man said "Didn't I tell you not to mention that again". He pointed his finger at the man's eye saying "Plough" and the man lost the sight of that eye immediately.
