  1. One time a man who had a cow that he kept in a byre. One day two little men came to him and told him this byre was built on the top of a fairy fort that they lived underneath and that the filth of the byre ran through the floor. They asked the man to remove the byre but he did not do so.
Next morning when he went out the cow was standing on her head. The same thing happened every morning till at last he had to remove the byre.
