  1. In townland of Castlethird parish of Taughboyne barony of north Raphoe and on road between Taughboyne and St. Johnston(right hand side) there is a hill called Castlethird Brae. There are the remains of an old fort here with a great hollow in centre which old people said was entrance to tunnel which let to cairn in Doran's field(already mentioned).
This fort is close to farmhouse now occupied by Mrs Gamble Castlethird.
