Next day he worked for another man and he got a cat for his wages he held the cat in his hands until he scraped him and bit him and he had to let him go. When he came home his mother said to him "Ah you foolish boy, why didn't you lead it home by a string "I will do so next time" said Jack. Next day he got work in another place and he got a leg of mutton for his wages he tied it up by a string and pulled it along the road. When he came home his mother said to him "Ah you foolish boy will you ever learn to be wise? Why didn't you carry it on your back," I will do so next time said Jack. After a few days Jack got work from another man He worked very hard all day and in the evening he got a young donkey for his wages and he put the donkey on his back.
   On his way home he had to pass by the rich man's house when he was passing the rich man's daughter was siting
