  1. Andy Malachi Moynihan lived at Beheenach in the Parish of Rathmore about two and a half miles to the east of Cappadubh.
    He was born nearly 100 years ago and died many years ago though within my memory.
    He was a well known basket maker. He was a great campaigner during the Land League and was elected in Public Boards. He served a term of imprisonment where he was allowed work as basket maker. There he learned a whole lot about wicker work and in his release turned out wicker chairs baskets cradles etc which many local basket makers copied. He is responsible for many changes and improvements in the trade.
