    rolled but a little stone was found near him. It is believed that his temple struck that little stone. He was then only fifty-four years of age. He was my first cousin and he told me many of his experiences.

    There were some celebrated fishermen in this parish.

    There were some celebrated fishermen in the parish. One was John Moynihan from Barradubh. He was called "John Ó" or John Nance. When fishing during the summer he seemed to have a charm for trout and whether he used flies or worms he was always a success and brought home a bag of fish. It was often a man left a pool after failing to take one fish. John Ó would come along and take half a dozen. He had been a great user of the wood fly but tied his own artificial flies too and if he was fishing with worms and the blood ran down he would go to the nearest farm and select feathers and dress his own flies and catch fish. I saw him fishing on the Abha na Creithe in 1904 when he was advancing in years and I thought the trout were actually giving themselves up to him. He used flies and every time
