    same name can cure mumps, by putting a pair of winkers on the person aflicted, and leading him across a stream three times, making him take a mouthful of water each time.
    8. A drink of mare's milk is a cure for the measles.
    9. There is herb which grows in very mossy ground called "Bogbean." It must be pulled in early spring, boiled, and the juice drunk in order to cure a cold.
    10. The juice from the tops of whins when boiled is a cure for a cold.
    11. Roast salt when put into a cloth and tied round a persons neck is a cure for a sore throat.
    12. Some people have a cure for a sprained foot by putting the foot under a falling stream and hold it there for a long time until the foot is numb. This has to be often done before the foot is cured.
