    I believe in Him because He says
    It is the thing to do.
    I trust His word, I trust His ways,
    I know that they are true.
    II
    I ask His aid because He says
    "My side I'll give to you".
    It guides my footsteps in the maze,
    & safely leads me through.
    III
    I tell my woes to Him who hears
    With sympathy & love
    One word dispels my greatest fears
    |One soothing word above.
    IV
    He asks of me to ask of Him
    My sorrows to relieve.
    I ask because I believe in Him
    I ask and I receive
    V
    I seek Him out, He tells me to
    & says I'm sure to find
    I believe because His words rung true
    & ease my tired mind.
