- There is a hill convenient to Castleblakeney called "An Cnocan"
It is about a hundred feet in height. I was told by my father that there was a man hanged on that hill. His name was Charley Langley He was one of the ribbion men and he gave away one of the secrets to the English and they hung him for that. When he was dying he repeated the lines.
Charley Langley is my name.
Woodlawn is my station
Caltra is my burial place
Heaven is my expectation.When I am dead, and in my grave,
And all my bones are rotten,
This little book will tell my name when I am quite forgotten.
