  1. I heard the following story from my father a few days ago. A long time ago an Irish girl went to America. She was engaged as a maid in a house and one day the woman of the house was going out and she told Mary to boil the potatoes in their jackets. When she came home she asked her had she the potatoes boiled and she said she had but she couldn't find their jackets, but she boiled them in the old lad's trousers.
