  1. The games I play are ludo, draughts, snakes-and-ladders and ball.
    In Autumn we go out and pick blackberries, sloes, crabs and nuts. We make crab jelly and sloe wine. On Hallow Eve we crack nuts. In winter we make bird-cradles out of boor-tree.
    I will tell you how we play scuttles. We get a big branch or a handle of a twig, we cut four large scuttles out of it and a small one. We put up these four sticks facing each other and we put the small one in the middle. We get three sticks and we throw it at the scuttles. If we knock one of them we get five, and if we knock the one in the middle we get ten. Whoever gets a hundred first wins the game.
    We play cards, ludo, draughts and snakes-and-ladders around the fire. We slide throw snowballs and play tig in the winter.
