Mr Cull said that when he would die we would have a woman to close his eyes. Mr Pagnam said "If you got a wife like mine she would open your eyes instead of closing them."

  2. Once upon a time a ghost came into this man's house. When the people in the house would be sitting round the fire the ghost would thrown down things at them. At last this man sent for the priest. When he came he told them to turn every thing that was in the house up side down so they did, and yet the ghost did not go out. The priest said that there must be something the had forgotten to turn. "What was it but a thimble". Then a man walked out of the house with a wheel-barrow and disappeared. There were no more noises ever heard after that.
