- In olden times when people were very poor they made their own candles. They bought the fat of the sheep named tallow and melted it down. Then when it was fully melted they poured it into shapes and a wick was run through the shape.
The old people called that
candle a pádóg. The candles were very yellow not like candles nowadays.- Collector
