  1. People in olden times ate only one meal per day. This meal consisted of potatoes or stirabout Sour milk was often drank. People often worked in the morning before having food. The people sat around the table in the centre of the floor. The table as placed against the wall when not used. Meat was eaten every meal. Fish was eaten on fast days. People did not eat late at night. Eggs were eaten on Easter. Sunday Mugs were used before cups came into fashion.
