  1. In olden times if a man cut his face he would get a cobweb and lay it on the wound and it is said that it would stop bleeding.
    If a
    child had sore eyes the father would get a donkey and milk the donkey down on the child and the child would be alright.
    For the disease called thrush the old people had a very good cure. Some person who had never seen his father should visit the child on three mornings following each other and breath into the child's mouth three times, and it was sure to heal after that.
