  1. It is said that it is unlucky to send a child to school for the first time on a Monday.
    Monday is for wealth.
    Tuesday for health.
    Wednesday: no good at all.
    Thursday for crosses.
    Friday for losses.
    Saturday no day at all
Sunday is the best day of all.
Potatoes should be planted on or before the 17th March.
Cabbage stumps should be planted before St Stephen's day. It is said that if you cut your hair on a Monday it would not grow any more. If you cut your nails on a Sunday you would be unlucky.
