    rose he went oot and tuck a drink o' the water. After he got his breakfast he always went oot every morning and fixed the well.
    In the summer time he used to sit beside the well all day and read a book.
    One day when he was about eighty years of age he was sitting beside the well reading and he fell asleep and he fell into the water.
    After that his son came oot and got oul Patrick lying drowned in the well and the people pulled oul Patrick oot o' the well and buried him.
    After that the people of the district built a wall roon the well and nabody goes near that well.
    It is said that every night about twelve o'clock an oul man is seen sitting on a stane beside the well dressed
