Bob took a look at him and said,
I think I am worthy of your aid,
The horse he grappled by the head
And all the intruders quickly fled,
    Gilheany went up and down
In triumph marching through the town
Gilheaney brought him home that night
To all the neighbours great delight
    Where they were all supplied,
With flowing ale on every side,
They spent that night in mirth & cheer
    Until daylight did appear.
Ferguson then bid them all good-bye.
I'm proud I lived in '98,7I'm glad Gilheany did not die,
So I will bid ye all good-bye.
