  1. Long ago there lived a man in Caragh called "Micky the Mower".
He was coming from Tralee one night with his scythe after being mowing with some farmer when he met an evil spirit on Tralee mountain.
She flew at him and asked him why he should disturb her at this hour of the night.
"Faith" says Mickey "may be 'tis a fight you want"
The devil will have you before an hour for I will kill you now" said the spirit to him.
She went at him like lighting, but he drew at her with the sythe and kept her off.
The fight continued fiercely between them for a distance of five miles of the mountain, Micky worked hard with the sythe all the time.
It was then getting late in the night and she flew back in the same direction that she came from.
But Micky came home alright, though they say he ws never in the better of that night until he died.
