    Softly the sun shines to night o'er
    Dunkern.
    Brightly it shines on the ruined castle wall.
    Where once the great throng feasted so long and were mery
    With OSullivan Moore in his banqueting hall.

    But down by the seaside what means the loud murmur.
    That sounds like the voice of an on coming gale.
    But Hark it now rises in accents most awful
    O laws! it's the sound of a wild Irish wail.
