  1. Mr Patrick Flatley's house is situated in the townland of Leckee, in the parish of Toomore and in the barony of Gallen. Outside his house a peculiar kind of a bird dwells. She is called a blackbird even though the larger part of her is white.
    When she is flying she has a dark shade but when perched on a bramble she seems to be pure white.
    There are two other birds in her company, one a white ring round its neck and the other has a black and white head.
