  1. When it was said that fairies were numerous in Ireland the priests were genrally very nevous because it was said whatever spirits were the surest to see them.
    One night when a priest was going home from a sick call he thought himself he saw a ghost. The priest was riding on and old side-car, and the priest asked him for a seat, of course the hunter was nervous but could not refuse. On their journey the spirit to say, "I command thee in the name of god if thow art a spirit to say at once what thow wasnt."
