  1. Once when a certain man was going to the bog he took his neighbour's children with him. The mother of the children was ill at home and was very fond of them, but this man thought he was doing a great turn by taking the children away from the "trouble & excitement" of the house. When they were a while in the bog, the children became very cross and the man began to loose his patience. After awhile he hit the boy and when he told his mother and she swore to have revenge. Some time afterwards his mother said
