  1. Long ago wooden ploughs and gates were used.
    Jack Boyce as the carpenter in the district who made them.
    The garden gate was made in one part four feet by five feet.
    The field gate was divided in two divisions so as to let a horse and and cart pass through.
    Iron gates and ploughs are used now as the wooden ones were very heavy and hard to handle.
    It was the smith who made the [cro?] an grates.
