    Home industries for women.
    They used to keep sheep and when they would be clipped the women used to card the wool and spin it into thread at home. They knit it into socks and they took them to the fair or market and sold them. In some of the houses there was a weaver who had a loom for weaving the thread into flannel to make such as blankets, men's underware or for childrens clothing.
