    around the hedges, picking blackberries and pulling apples, currants and gooseberries. In the end of Autumn we go to the wood to pull nuts, and often when we would return home, we would spend the evening cracking them and throwing some in the fire, to see, which nut would let the best shot. Then when, the frost comes we go to pull sloes and that ends our fruit for the year.
