    years of wear in the thatch. He was not a very speedy thatcher but what he did he did it well. He used to charge six shillings per day and his support. The people thought him well worth it. He used to thatch for all neighbours about the District.

  2. My great grand-uncle, the late William Moran of Aughagrania, was a weaver by trade. Everything he wore was woven by himself. He had seven sons and four daughters. he wove flax into linen and wool into flannen and frieze. There are some of the blankets, sheets, towels and frieze suits and overcoats to be had yet, which he made in his time.
