  1. In olden days the people used to make their own food out of their home grown products. The old people used to sow a lot of oats and they used to send it to the mill to be ground into oaten meal and from it they made oaten bread and porridge. From the potatoes they made boxty starch, and potato bread. They used to sow their own wheat, and send it to the mill to be ground into flour.
    To make boxty they peeled a few potatoes, then they used to great them with a grater. Then
