    Sometimes an ambitious person would go behind the evicted man's back and pay the rent due thereby grabbing the farm.
    The person who did so had to be strongly guarded every place he would go.
    Thank God the days of the Landlords and the crow bars brigades are over. The poor peasantry of Ireland can repair their houses now which they dared not do then and there is no cruel Land Lord to prevent them.
