  1. There was an old cross near John Duggan's quarry. The Mass-stone at "Wethers' Well" is also an ancient stone. It is said that the English who lived in Tralee, once tried to take it away. At that time bullocks pulled the cars. The bullocks pulled the Mass-stone as "Bullocks' Hill" but could pull it no farther. The English had to let it on the road and the people of Tubrid brought it back to the Well again.
There is an ancient cross in Churchill. A very brave warrior is buried there. There is an inscription on the stone. There is another stone near Artdert. It is called the "Gollan". Its in Mossy Pierce's field. There are no cairns or "Druids' circles" in my district. There was an ancient stone in the Kilmoyley.
I got these stories from Mr William Davis, Turbrid, Ardfert, Co. Kerry.
