    article called a "Griset" on which he melted the resin.
    He used to get a long stripe of corduroy or home spun woollen thread and dip it in the resin.
    This man had a little stall and used to go round to the surrounding fairs selling these candles as well as cooked eels.
    This was about the year eighteen seventy - six. He was married but had no family. he left that place later.

    The late Tom Sadler of Corrlouglin used to make every sort of nails. This was about the year 1838. He used to sell them to the bootmakers and shopkeepers. In this way he made a lot of money. He died in 1856 and left the money to his son, Tom, who afterwards bought the site for a house, and built the house now
