  1. One day a man was selling noggins through Drumbreanlis. He met little men on the road and they told him to come to a house where there was a wedding that they wanted to take the bride that they could not take her without having some man from this world with them and the little men said that if the bride sneezed three times and no one said "God bless us" they'd have her. They put the living man up on a rafter in the loft, the wedding went on. In the middle of the wedding the bride sneezed twice. She was going to sneeze the third time and put a handkerchief to her mouth. The living man said "God bless us." The fairies pulled him off the rafter and began to kick him. He craved them to let him tell his story to the wedding people. The wedding people were about to kick him because they thought he came uninvited but they heard how he saved the bride they were very sorry for him and proud of him and he got great call for his noggins ever after.
