“Tom Kiernan Cornafest was one Sunday evening sitting in Cornafest fort.”
Tom Kiernan Cornafest was one Sunday evening sitting in Cornafest fort. A man passed by that he never saw before and said to him "If you are here when I am coming back I'll put you in the right track". I am going to Barney Duffy's.
Tom Kiernan sat there for a length of time but went home when he did not see the stranger return.
He inquired at Barney Duffy's but no one saw a stranger that day. There is a fort at Barney Duffy's called Errew fort.
Tom Kiernan went home and never left the house afterwards never left his room. He lived for years but was never again seen by the neighbours. People said he had some mysterious disease and youngsters his next door neighbours who did not remember his meeting with the stranger did not know of his existence.
