  1. Three men Owen Murphy, James Lynch, Robert Reilly all of whom are dead were coming home from a fair in Arva about 50 years ago. As they were coming around the new line near the lake shore they saw a lovely clear fire by the side of the road. Owen Murphy said he'd have a light and thank the company. James Lynch said the same. Robert Reilly said he'd have a light and devil take the company. When he said that the fire went out and he heard a laugh around him and he was pelted with clay. Lynch was brought across the lake on a pigs back and left safely on the shore all three of them got safely home.
