  1. The church has seven sacraments
    as you must all believe
And three of these more requisite to know
    and to believe
Baptism washes out the sin which Adam did commit
And the sins that ourselves have done
    Penance will remit.
In the Blessed Eucharist we receive
    the body and blood divine
    of our Lord Jesus Christ
under the appearance of bread and wine
In confirmation we believe the Holy Ghost is given
    Extreme Unction gives us strength
to die and go to heaven
By Holy Orders priests are made
And get both power and grace
    And matrimony blesses those
    whom married life embrace.
