  1. The Augustinian Monastery in Tipperary was built in the 13th century. It was built by the Normans and they gave it to the Augustinians and they held it for three centuries and it was given to William Ryan in 1651. He held it until the time of Cromwell when it was taken from him and given to Eramus Smyth. There is nothing to be seen now only an archway. It consisted of a graveyard, a dormitory, a chapter house and some land.
