- Long ago people had very different ways of curing diseases. They had not as many diseases as people have now. Young calves very often have worm in the stomach. It is lucky to make the worms knot over the calf.
People also have diseases as well as the cattle and calves.
The diseases are head-aches, the flue, the mumps, and bad stomach and a few others. The mumps come at each side of the neck. People put hot salt to them. If they suffered from their stomach, they boiled dandelions in water and ate them and(continues on next page)- Collector
