  1. There are many fairs in Ireland and in many other countries as well. There is a date fixed in every month, the day on which the fair would be held. The people are always preparing their cattle for a certain month. Some have large cattle, others have cows to sell. Some have bonhams to sell at Bonham fairs. The fairs we go to are generally at Scariff and Tulla and OCallaghan's Mills. When people are selling them, they mark them with pencil or mud. Some people say that long ago a pig went up the street of the
