  1. Long ago the people did not sow much potatoes. The first potato that was grown was grown in Cork. The people sow them very plentifully now. They sow many kinds of potatoes such as Dates, Champions, Kerr-pink, Queen, Arne-Banners, Skerry Blues, and many others. When the people are going to sow the potatoes they plough and harrow the soil; then they open drills. They put out manure on the drills. Then they spread the
