  1. There are a few forths around our farm. Fairies are supposed to live in those forths. Nobody does anything to those forths because the fairies would harm them. A man was cutting a tree beside a forth once. When he had the tree half cut it fell down upon him and killed him. The tree belonged to the forth. It was a very old tree and the people said it was a magic one, nobody ever went near the forth after. Another man was coming home from his cuaird one night. When he was coming near a forth
