  1. A cure for black leg
Get some copper wire and cut a piece about two inches long for each beast. Then get some turpentine and holy water and dip the wire into each and put it into the beast's skin under the neck. By saying "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost". It must be put in so that the two ends can be twisted round to keep it there. He puts it in each calf when he is a few months old.
My father uses this as a preventetive for black leg. There is never a case of it on our land.
