  1. One of the fields in our farm is called the lough-park because there is a little lake beside it called Lough Gildra which was once supposed to cover this land.
    It is said that two people were drowned in this lake and that it closed in as small as it is now and it is said that a third will have to be drowned in it before it closes in altogether.
    I have often heard my Grandmother (RIP) tell this and saying she remembered when the lake covered the land.
