  1. About a mile from here near Ballinboy there is a big stone on the side of the road which is supposed to be between four and five tons in weight.
    It is said that this stone was once on the top of Sheemore and that Fionn McCumhaill in a row threw it after another giant and the track of his hand is to be seen in it yet. He meant to throw it to the top of Sliab-an-Iarainn and it slipped off his hand when he was about to throw it.
