    We always heard that there was fairies in the Moat of Ragorey. There is lights seen there and music heard playing in it, and fellows were put astray there too.

  2. There was an ould man he lived down there at the end of our avenue. His name was Seán Mór (Seán Moore?). He was dying anyway I dont think there was any wan living with him at the time, his wife was dead and his sons were gone away. Fr. Martin was the priest that was here at the time and he came to see him. The greatest riffing and tearing you ever heard this man had it in the bed. He used shout out: "that the devil might buck-hunt his sowl around the Commons of Hell" (Weren't that a terrible saying - he wasnt in much of a hobble about dying.) Well, the priest said that he was dying happy, that there was as no trouble or sin in the world on him. Wasn't that strange?
