  1. The Augustinian Monastery in Tipperary was built in the 13th century. It was built by the Normans and they gave it to the Augustinians monks and they held it for 3 centuries and it was given to William Ryan in 1651 until the time of Cromwell when it was taken and given to Eramus Smyth. There is nothing to be seen now only an archway. It consisted of a graveyard a dormitory a chapter house and some land.
