    crops. He used go down there every evening to have a look around the place, to see the cattle and the crops and so on.
    This evening he went down, and when he came near the old house he saw a woman putting out a big hedge of clothes.
    He walked up to her. "What are yez putting out all the clothes for" says he.
    "I'm spreading these out to wake you" says she.
    He said no more. He came along home and he died that night.
    His family kept on the place and they got broke and went to the bad and everything, and they have nothing now. There is never any luck in money made out of a public house, it always goes bad in the end. I suppose thare was too many curses put on 'em. Anyway he couldn't expect any luck, after grabbing the land and throwing the poor ould man out in the world.
