- They had the world of cattle and when they'd leave 'em out they'd let them wander about wherever they liked. They used break into other people's land and ate all before 'em. and Coady didn't mind a damn bit.
There was a fellow lived near them and he had an acre of cabbage sown, and 'twas growing the grandest you ever seen the heads were coming on it.
This day anyway the cattle broke into this field of cabbage and ate every bit of it - they et it down to the clay. The man that owned the cabbage came over in an awful rage about the cattle over to Coady.
"Begob sure," says Coady, "if they didnt do any harm sure 'tis alright"
"God damn it, sure they ate the whole lot of it down to the clay" says the man.
