    In order to get the power to work the Black Art they say you should sell your soul to the devil. And you should turn your back on the Elevation of Mass.
    Hayden was able to take any coin, but he couldn't touch a twoswhilling piece. On account of the Cross being on that he had no power to meddle with it

  3. Long ago people used bury a lot of money, and there was always some one left minding it.
    When they'd be burying the money they'd ask you would you mind it; and you'd say "yes". They they'd kill you, and you'd have to mind that money then, when you were after making the promise.
